I take a lot of pride in the family atmosphere that has developed in our practice over the almost 30 years we have served the people of Johnson County. Our primary goal is to give the best possible care to each and every person who walks in the door. Briefly describe what you do:

I have been an optometrist at Eye Associates for 20 years. Each day I perform eye exams, fit contact lenses, and prescribe glasses. Additionally, I help with the decision-making for our business and the day-to-day operations of the practice.
 

What do you like best about working for Eye Associates?

Our wonderful long-term patients and working side-by-side with our terrific staff. Getting to know so many patients and staff over these many years has been a really rewarding experience.
 

What do you like to do when you’re not in the office?

Exercise, read, go to movies, eat dinners out and, most of all, spend time with my family.
 

What is your personal motto?

Never settle. Always strive to keep improving.
 

What is one thing that almost no one knows about you, or would be surprised to know?

I worked on a farm in the summers during high school, and I’m a big fan of the Marvel cinematic universe.
 

Best vacation you ever took and why?

Maui, last summer. A very beautiful place that I really enjoyed with my family.
 

Favorite thing to do in Kansas City?

Mountain biking and going out to dinner.
 

What are you proudest of?

My wonderful family and the business we have all worked hard to build.
 

One thing on your bucket list?

A long trip to Australia.

“What is astigmatism?”
 

What is one thing everyone should do to take care of their eyes?

Wear sunglasses when you are outside and eat dark green, leafy vegetables.
