Nicholas A. Pennipede Memorial Scholarship Winner: Jordan Harris, Winter 2020

Congratulations to Jordan Harris, a 2nd year Master's degree student in Nutrition Science as East Carolina University and our latest (Winter 2020) student scholarship winner.  Jordan will receive $1,000 from Eye Associates to apply toward his education.

As a young athlete continuously striving to perform better, Jordan developed a passion for learning about how healthy nutritional habits and well-constructed exercise routines can impact physical and mental performance. His early athletic experiences led him to obtain undergraduate degrees in health fitness and nutrition science. Currently, Jordan is spending his time learning from performance health professionals and experienced soldiers while completing a summer performance nutrition military internship.

Jordan plans on becoming a registered dietitian so he can empower and educate athletes and the general public to reach their health goals. When Jordan is not busy studying various performance nutrition-related topics, he enjoys spending his time exercising and baking desserts for his friends and family.
