Are you suffering from itchy, watery, red eyes? You may be suffering from eye allergies. Here are 4 tips for happier eyes this allergy season:
1. Wash your face thoroughly throughout the day. Washing your face often helps keep pollen and other irritants off of your face. Be sure to wash your hands before-hand before washing your face and touching your eyes.
2. Leave your shoes outside. Shoes can track in pollen and other allergens.
3. Stay inside if you can. Check your local allergy report and stay indoors with the doors and windows shut. Sometimes the best allergy relief for your eyes is to avoid the outdoors altogether.
4. Use your re-wetting drops. If you’re a contact lens user, using re-wetting drops can make a huge difference in contact lens comfort on those pollen-heavy days.
Not all of us can afford to stay indoors in allergy heavy months. If you wear contacts, you may want to consider switching to a daily lens. Please contact us today and our eye-care specialists will be happy to discuss your options.
